Abstrakt: The article describes a nonlinear phenomenon SPM (Self Phase Modulation), which occurs in the all-optical communications systems. In the 21st century, the WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplex) system cannot be created without the software that simulates the system under real conditions. The most important WDM components include the EDFA (Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier), in which amplification occurs at all wavelengths. The 10 Gbps optical line DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplex) system is created according to the ITU-T.G.694.1, in which the SPM phenomenon is observed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
