Persistent occupational koilonychia.

Abstrakt: This article reports a case study of a 55-year old man suffering from benign tumour of the kidney and testis. On physical examination he appeared to he a healthy man but the nails of both thurnb had a distinct spoon shape and some of the other nails had very discrete longitudinal striations. The patient had solely been engaged in producing threaded pins. The patient was reported to be suffering from occupational koilonychia. The patient has been exposed to oils, organic solvents, combined with mechanical stress. The influence of oils and organic solvents on nails made them rigid.
