The article examines the reliability of computed tomography as an accurate diagnostic tool in cervical spine (CS) injuries. Topics discussed include case presentation of a 40-year-old male who presented to the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore following a high-speed motor vehicle collision, the diagnostic imaging done on the patient after day six in the hospital, review of related literatures, and use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-CS in blunt trauma patients. |
