The author reflects on the controversy surrounding the selection of American composer and singer Bob Dylan as recipient of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2016. He argues that the awarding of the prize to Dylan is the result of the axiological modifications of the modern times. He emphasizes that using print as main mode of communication is past, that literature should be open and addressed to a large number of people, and that popularity is very important in the society of today. |
