Analyzes the nature and essence of the democratic development of Ukrainian society, their manifestation in tourism, where tourism is seen as a means of asserting universal human and national standards and values; the author argues that democracy and human rights, environmental security and tolerance, solidarity, and so did not introduce in Ukraine outside and shaped by the people as the internal norms and standards since ancient times; historical conflicts have not reduced their human context, therefore, in the modern history of Ukraine acts as a humanitarian and humanistic state tourism means asserts its authority in the European space.
