Abstrakt: Qualitative research methods are appropriate for researching the features and outcomes of poetry therapy. This study examines the use of qualitative research methods in poetry therapy. It was found that matrices ( Miles & Huberman, 1994 ) could be used effectively to identify emerging themes across both existing and participant-produced poems, to note similarities and differences and to evaluate outcomes. The present article is based upon the author's use of matrices in her dissertation study ( Blake, 1998 ). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
