The article focuses on the amendment in the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) in 2006 and political factors stalled its adoption. It examines the new and potentially problematic breach notification provisions and notification requirements in the European Union (EU). It also mentions that provision for data protection and data security and penalties. It also mentions that it addresses gaps such as the failure to include business transaction provisions. |
