Abstrakt: This article presents case study of a 51-year old housewife suffering from contact dermatitis due to the sensitization to lactic acid and castor oil in a wart remover solution. Contact dermatitis from topical treatment of warts is rare. Common components of wart removers are salicylic acid, lactic acid and flexible collodion. The symptoms appeared on the 20th day of treatment with Isdin® anti-wart solution. The acute reaction disappeared within 1 week of stopping the wart treatment and applying a topical corticosteroid cream. Patch testing was performed with the wart remover and the European standard series.
