The author discusses the real history of dance students and the presence of racism in dance education in the U.S. Topics include the need to integrate black content into dance history pedagogy, the resistance of students on the inclusion of black content in the course, and the gap between blacks and whites' academic achievement and how to address them by understanding the histories of each students. |
