The article focuses on proceedings of the ISDS congress in Lisbon, Portugal. Arriving in Lisbon to attend the first ISDS congress, members of this pioneer group were curious to see what new experiences Portugal would provide. Planned with care and imagination, each social event was informative, timely and great fun. A committee on education, chaired by George L. Popkin has been established by the ISDS to fulfill the society's commitment to furthering the training of its members in dermatologic surgery. Sheldon V. Pollack, chief of chemosurgery and dermatologic surgery was appointed as editor of ISDS newsletters. Gilberto Castro-Ron, chief of the Dermatology Section of the Institute Oncologio, has been appointed to the broad of directors of the ISDS. |
