Abstrakt:	The article discusses the role of next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology in cancer diagnosis and treatment. Topics mentioned include the advent of commercially available NGS instruments in 2006 which made the employment of DNA sequencing simpler and faster, use of whole-exome sequencing in cancer genomics studies, and NGS analysis for identification of potential driver mutations in cancer.
