Abstrakt: The article explores the ukiyo-e output of the last years of the life of Suzuki Harunobu, a Japanese designer of woodblock print artist. Topics covered include how play shaped the creative mind of Harunobu, the role of leisure, pastimes, play and entertainments populate the works of Harunobo and the distinction of Edo asobi pastimes from passive amusement.
