This study empirically examines why Indonesians intend to engage in Islamic home financing. Specifically, this study attempts to explore the influence of attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioural control and religiosity on the intentions of Indonesians to undertake Islamic home financing, both simultaneously and partially. Of 153,129 population of the City of Banda Aceh, Indonesia, 100 respondents were selected as sample of the study based on the proportional stratified random technique. Using multiple linear regression analysis, the study found that attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioural control and religiosity simultaneously influenced the intentions to undertake Islamic home financing. Partially, with the exception of religiosity variable which was found to be insignificant, all other variables, namely attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioural control were found to positively and significantly affect the intentions to undertake Islamic home financing. These findings implied that these factors should be focused by the banking industry to attract potential customers to undertake Islamic home financing in Banda Aceh, Indonesia.
