The article presents the development of the turbo-Brayton cryocooler by cryogenic components manufacturer Creare LLC to address the challenge faced by U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in space born cryocooler capacity in 2016. Researchers of NASA have evaluated a co-storage concept in which the liquid oxygen tank intercepts heat load' large fraction for the hydrogen tank. Turbo-Brayton cryocoolers are ideal for the application due to favorable mass. |
