| Abstrakt: |
The article presents the author's views on the challenges faced by the cartography studies organized in Portugal. Various historians that have conducted studies include Jaime Cortesão, Duarte Leite and Armando Cortesão. Other topics discussed include problems caused by farmers in organizing studies, use of nautical works by sailors, study of ancient cartography and innovation in cartography knowledge. Author also discusses importance of such works for sailors as it helps them in identifying trade routes. |
