The article comments on the study conducted by Z. Guo and colleagues presenting their experience and results of performing two-port video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) bullectomy for primary spontaneous pneumothorax (PSP) using totally intravenous anaesthesia (TIVA) with local anaesthesia (LA) or thoracic epidural anaesthesia (TEA). Their experience showed that both TIVA approaches are feasible and safe, with comparable short-term outcomes and pneumothorax recurrence rates. |
