The incidence of sensitization is difficult to evaluate as the existing statistics are not standardized, in the collection of data, which varies from country to country, and also sue to the fact that in many cases the allergens used in patch-testing are not the same. The incidence has steadily increased due to both the greater use of rubber protective objects and to the possibility of using the same chemical components in the manufacture of very diverse products of daily use insecticides, clothes, medicaments, etc. |
