The article reports on cases of eyelid dermatitis from nickel contaminated cosmetics. The first case is of a twenty-two year old female patient who had a hand dermatitis with eyelid dermatitis after using some eye cosmetics. Patch test reaction to nickel sulfate to a brown colored eyeshadow and mascara were positive. The second case is of a eighteen year old female patient who had a history of dermatitis from jewelry and of eyelid dermatitis recurring after the use of some eye cosmetics. Patch test with nickel sulphate was positive. |
