Abstrakt: In each issue, "The Public Opinion Quarterly" publishes a continuation of an annotated bibliography which appeared in 1935 in book form. Some of the publications listed in the September 1940 issue include "An Introduction to Public Opinion," by Harwood Childs, is a collection of lectures before American Council on Public Relations, 1939-40, by the Princeton, New Jersey, political scientist. "War Propaganda and the United States," by Harold Lavine and James Wechsler. It describes both foreign and domestic efforts to control the United States opinion; analyzes social forces that produce receptivity and resistance to various propaganda appeals; discusses organization and importance of propaganda bureaus, war correspondents, British lecturers, German postcards, United States "benefit" social functions. "Hitler, Goebbels, and the Ministry for Propaganda," by Charles H. Wilson. It is a careful summary of activities and administrative machinery of German propaganda ministry.
