Abstrakt: The article focuses on the treatment of an 18-year old boy, with a 6-year history of atopic dermatitis, who suddenly developed a vesicular eruption accompanied by malaise, fever and adenopathy. The fluid content of intact vesicles was inoculated into FL cells and herpes simplex virus type I was isolated. Silvadene cream was applied extensively Erythrocin given orally resulted in marked response within one week and in complete clearing within two weeks.
