Dental Anomalies in a Brazilian Cleft Population.

Abstrakt: The article presents a study on dental abnormalities in a Brazilian cleft population, which was aimed at radiographically investigating the prevalence of dental anomalies outside cleft area in a group of patients with nonsyndromic cleft lip and/or palate. It states that anomalies were found in most of the patients, and tooth agenesis and supernumerary tooth were the most common anomalies. It notes that prevalence of dental anomalies in the patients was higher than normal population.
