Abstrakt: | The article discusses research regarding the role that anxiety symptoms play in mediating perceived discrimination and chronic health conditions among African-American women. Psychosocial stressors are addressed, along with health disparities between African-American women and European-American women. Mental depression in women is examined, along with the psychological aspects of age and education status. Research on women's mood disorders and physical health is assessed. |
