Abstrakt: This article discusses hair matrix differentiation in chondroid syringoma. Chondroid syringomas are uncommon adnexal tumors exhibiting sweat gland differentiation. The authors focus on a chondroid syringorna in which there was evidence of hair matrix differentiation resembling a pilomatricoma. The article discusses the case study of a 29-year-old man who noticed a small nodule in the skin of his lower lip. Histologic examination of sections stained with hematoxylin and eosin revealed an unremarkable epidermis. There was a tumor in the dermis consisting of basaloid epithelial strands in a lace-like pattern.
