There are given data on values of annual effective dose from "indoor" radon in various buildings (in inhabited, and also other premises) in Tbilisi city - the capital of Georgia. Some conditional intervals of exposure dose - from low up to ultrahigh level have been entered with the account of the received results and recommended reference levels. It was shown, that average values of annual effective dose in premises vary in the wide range - in the limits from 0.33 mSv y-1 up to 2.30 mSv y-1, and correspond, basically, to the groups with values below typical (<0.50 mSv y-1), typical (0.50-1.0 mSv y-1) and above typical (1.0-2.5 mSv y-1) values; it was noticed, that taking into account potentially probable values of the average annual effective doses up to 11 % of premises can get in the group with high (2.5-5.0 mSv y-1) and dangerous (5.0-10 mSv y-1) dose values. Some features in distribution of doses in various premises are noted; it is shown, that for premises, basically, the received values correspond to average worldwide data. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
