Abstrakt: The paper describes the field research into mechanical condition of reinforced concrete lining in an underground excavation using the method of parallel hole drilling. In order to avoid intersection of measurement hole and rock bolts, the authors offer the procedure for choosing the measurement hole location based on the results of geo-radar scanning of the lining. The place of setting up the measuring probe in the hole is defined by results of visual scanning of the hole. To estimate deformation properties and the correspondence of used mathematical model to real concrete the procedure of loading and unloading of drilled holes by uniform pressure is used. As an example results of geo-radar scanning and stress measuring are represented. The proposed technique of measuring stresses in reinforced concrete lining provides the most reliable and accurate results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
