Abstrakt: The article presents a research report from Image Permanence Institute (IPI) of Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York on the effects of water exposure and techniques for recovery of inkjet prints during water emergencies. Topics discussed include use of insoluble pigments in inks responding differently when exposed to water, inkjet prints showing high sensitivity towards water, and techniques to use prints when exposed to water like air drying. Also included are suggestions to not keep damaged prints in high humid areas and need of a disaster plan to preserve inkjet prints collection.
