Abstrakt: The article discusses the purple urine bag syndrome which is a purple discoloration of the urine in catheter bags caused by tryptophan metabolites. It provides information on other medical conditions that cause abnormal urine and their effects on urine color including brown urine due to hemolysis, white urine pus due to urinary tract infection, and blue or green urine color caused by porphyria.
