Abstrakt: The article discusses the efforts in redesigning middle school science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) learning spaces and curricula undertaken by Deerfield Public Schools District 109 in Illinois. Topics discussed include school improvement planning for student achievement; improving student learning experiences through science laboratories; and designing of science labs with features like green-energy technology, real-time weather monitoring, and networked monitors.
