The author discusses the role of optical diagnosis in discarding diminutive polyps. Also offered several concerns on the universal adoption of polyp optical biopsy and management strategies for optical diagnosis of diminutive colon polyps such as the important factors to consider like the appropriate training tools, metrics for performance evaluation, and periodical skill maintenance assessments, medicolegal coverage, and patients' perceptions and preferences. |
