Abstrakt: Site dewatering is a method to locally control and lower groundwater levels in the vicinity of the excavation; it is usually to maintain dry soil conditions during or after construction. Dewatering requirements for structural needs are often different from those for below-grade waterproofing of the building. This article highlights the differences in dewatering requirements to meet structural and waterproofing needs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
