Abstrakt: The article presents a case study of a 56-year-old woman presented with a recurrent pleural effusion was transferred to the emergency department (ED) after multiple bilateral rib fractures due to car accident. It discusses surgical stabilization of the chest cage made with titanium clips. It also mentions the successful weaning process from mechanical ventilation in which chest radiograph shows opacification of the left hemithorax.
