An interview with artistic director Moises Kaufman and Barbara Pitts, a member of the Tectonic Theater Project, is presented. When asked that if 'devising' is a useful term for their work, he suggests that a more rigorous definition is needed and that devised performance is happening all over the country while Pitts said that she is making a text-free theatre piece. Kaufman believes that any kind of piece can be created from a fictional idea while Pitt talks about the power of moment work. |
