This paper shows how the author of Col 3,18 estimated the believing women as subjects of responsibility, unlike the pagan codes Grecorroman society and Hellenistic period. We aim to discover how the dyad woman-husband was assumed in the letter to the Colossians, what recommendations the author of the letter directed to the Colossian Christians and how they are exhorted. Otherwise, for a more perfect understanding of the message that the author addresses the believing women, we offer a rereading of it taking as its point of departure two anthropological values: honour and shame.
