Field experiments were carried out at NavsariAgricultural University, Paria (22°26. N; 72°58. E), India to study the efficacy of different management modules against Scirtothrips dorsalis on mango during four consecutive years i.e. 2009-10 to 2012-13. It was observed that the module comprising first spray of acephate 75 SP (0.04%) at panicle emergence stage followed by spinosad 45 SC (0.004%) after 21 days and a third need based spray was the most effective treatment in reducing the thrips population. The maximum number of fruits at marble stage (425.63 fruits/100panicles) was recorded with the treatment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
