The Development School was set up to build the art of effective social development practice through learning programs, dialogue, and participative consultancy with practitioners, donors, and policy makers. Primarily, one works with partners in transforming civil societies where there is limited or no professional tradition/recognition of social development practice. The school's approach is characterized by, understanding change and development as unpredictable, dynamic, and complex, working with groups and group dynamics through change processes, etc. The School works with donors and policy makers to improve their understanding of change and development as a basis for the effective funding of development. |
