A polarized wavelength multiplexer with high laser induced damage threshold has been developed to combine two laser beam of high peak power in the visible region. The present wavelength multiplexer is a multilayer thin film device deposited by reactive electron beam evaporation. The developed device is capable of combining two ppolarized laser beams of peak power density of 1.7 GW/cm² at an angle of incidence of 450. High transmission (T> 90%) in high pass region and high reflection (R> 99%) in stop band region have been achieved. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
