| Abstrakt: | The article discusses the integration of nurse practitioners into a U.S. hospital medical staff as of 2016. Topics covered include Maryland's permission of nurse practice without a physician collaborative agreement and requirement of nurse mentored practice after graduation, and the approach of creating a list of skills and performance measures to accompany granted privileges. Also noted are the appropriate levels of supervision and determining when non-supervised practice is permissible. |
