Abstrakt: A pantograph is a mechanical linkage system based on scissor mechanism in which the movement of one point produces identical movements in a second point. The principal challenge of the pantographic systems in their architectural applications is the selection of a suitable covering material. In this paper, we introduced a form of rigid covering pantographic structure made of unequal module in which each module has been larger than the successive module. The top reference line of unequal modules changed their directions meanwhile folding and unfolding and consequently this enabled the system to employ rigid covering rather than smooth coating materials like membranes. Every single module occupied a coating layer operative for the same module. The coating layers of the modules could overlap each other in the unfolding form of rigid covering pantographic structure which leads to water leakage prevention in consequence of rainfall or snowfall. In the folding form of rigid covering pantographic structure, the rigid coverings place upon each other and the whole system gets together. In this paper, the folding and unfolding details of rigid covering pantographic structure were also presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
