The article discusses the effects of premedication of intravenous dexmedetomidine on intraocular pressure and response to laryngoscopy and intubation. Topics discussed include challenges of eye injuries for anesthesiologists, need of controlling intraocular pressure (IOP) within correct physiological range and the importance of IOP for anesthetists. |
