A case study of 9-year old female child suffering from Rectal puncture during caudal anesthesia is presented. Topics discussed include need to never reintroduce the contaminated needle; chances of febrile episodes, pain, inflammation, infection or fistula formation; and need for optimal antibiotic treatment. |
