The article reports on the highlights of an educational program funded by the National Science Foundation which brought U.S. astronomy educators to Chile in 2015. Topics discussed include the visit made by the U.S. representatives to the Chilean Andes where the observatories, the contributions of Chile to astronomical research, and the astronomical perspective from the southern sky. The promise of creating a planetarium film about the program and an outreach program is mentioned. |
