ABSTRACT A 10-GHz Substrate Integrate Waveguide (SIWG) slot array antenna prototype assembled on FR-4 substrate is proposed in this article. Simulations were made for the SIWG slot array antenna and the optimized ones. A pair of each simulated antenna was then manufactured and assembled on a FR-4 substrate. Results of assembled antennas showed good agreement with the simulated ones, and presents 96° aperture angle with 150 MHz bandwidth in a real indoor environment test set, confirming that the FR-4 substrate can be used for wide-band wireless digital communication system at 10GHz frequency. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
