Abstrakt: The authors remark to the comment article about the success of posterior component separation with transversus abdominis release in addressing recurrent ventral hernias. The authors state that the comment article argue that anterior component separation technique is not applicable to nonmidline defect. However, the authors present their 6-year experience with 20 patients showing the efficacy of anterior component separation techniques in closing large flank-lumbar hernias.
