The article reports that a new sewer district created by the Clark County Water Reclamation District (CCWRD) uses two trenchless methods to minimize disruption during construction of a new interceptor alignment. The expansion project which comprises of 13 miles of new gravity sewer interceptor are broken into three sections and placed simultaneously.To minimize disruption, about half the new pipelines are being installed with microtunneling and earth pressure balance (EPB) equipment. |
