A report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office on their study on the Zika virus outbreak as of March 2016 is presented. A background of Zika virus is provided which is a member of the flavivirus that is transmitted via mosquitoes. Also discussed are the epidemiology and transmission of the Zika virus disease, testing and diagnosis, methods to control mosquitoes, and proposed government study on Zika virus and Zika virus disease. |
