The article discusses the rise of big data and the U.S. government information in the digital age. Particular focus is given to the production of public sector of email and other electronic data, along with the lack of investment from the government for its preservation or public access. Also tackled are the difficulties of obtaining information from the federal government and the efforts if open-government advocates in lobbying for access to records and unwarranted secrecy. |
