This paper provides an overview of fiber optic-based temperature sensor technologies, including a variety of Fabry-Perot and other interferometric techniques (EFPI, IFPI), fiber Bragg gratings (FBG), long period gratings (LPG), Raman backscattering, optical frequency domain reflectometry (OFDR), Brillouin backscattering and other types of fiber optic temperature sensor types.
