The article focuses on the role of Yemen and Ethiopia as reluctant customers of North Korean weapons-related industry and the factors that drive them to source from Pyongyang. Ethiopia had strong relationship with North Korea which helped in its defence development but they have different considerations in buying arms and related material and services in the sanctions era. Yemen also used to have warm relations with North Korea, but their military relationship was affected by hesitation. |
