The article discusses the juvenile justice system established by the Islamic Penal Code 2013 and Criminal Procedure Code 2014 of Iran. Topics included are the implementation of the ShariÝa law of ShiÝa Islam after the overthrow of the of the Sassanid Empire in Persia, the Juvenile Correctional Center Regulation of the Pahlavi monarchy prior to the Islamic Republic, and the age set for criminal responsibility of girls and years for boys by the Islamic Consultative Assembly. |
