The article focuses on the correspondence of Visigothic king Sisebut's son Theudila with his father who sent him to a monastery. Topics covered include Theudila's rebellion against his father and his decision to escape the monastery when his father died. Also mentioned are his decision to win the throne of the Kingdom of Toledo in 636 and the identification of another cleric who was excluded from becoming a king in 638 with Theudila. |
